1) What kind of winch do you need for your cars ?
Formula: vehicle weight (kg) × 1.5 / * 0.8 * 2 / 0.9 = required starting tension pounds of winch.
2) Winch use and precautions
1. Check the drum first. Before starting, make sure that the noose is neatly wound around the drum.
2. If the noose comes out, it should be prevented from swinging back and forth. If the noose breaks, the rope swinging back and forth can be very dangerous. However, this danger can be avoided as long as a bulletproof pad is placed on the tight noose.
3. When the tension is not enough, consider adding a roller skate to increase the tension.
4. Roll up the noose, tighten the noose and send it back carefully. If the noose crosses or twists on the drum, it must be completely untied before rewinding
3) Winch maintenance
The first important thing to check is the winch motor, which has two long bolts passing through the whole motor and fixed to the winch support. You may need to tap gently with a rubber hammer or remove it with the help of a flat screwdriver. Pay attention to the spring inside the cover. It's easy to spring out. Wait for the cable to be removed from the winch: wash it first, and then observe whether it is seriously damaged, so as to replace it in time; For fiber ropes, the fine sand and other impurities in the rope shall be washed clean. Clean the outside of the motor and dip some cleaning agent with a brush. Gently wipe the motor with fine sandpaper to remove rust. Check the operation of the motor bearing. It should rotate freely and smoothly, otherwise it needs to be replaced. The removal method of the gear box cover is the same as that of one end of the motor. The lubricating oil has blackened, indicating that water has entered. There is no other way but to clean it. Take out the gear and gasket in turn, clean them and place them in order. When taking out the gear, ensure that the brake drum is also removed. It is the part that bears too much pressure in the whole winch. Check for damage or cracks, After the gear is thoroughly cleaned, apply an appropriate amount of waterproof and high-temperature lubricating grease on each component, and seal the cover to prevent water and grease from flowing out. Finally, remove the shell of the control box and check the condition of the internal circuit. Ensure that the control box is well sealed and the interior is clean
