Design of semi gantry crane

The semi gantry crane is a kind of crane between the bridge crane and the gantry crane. The semi gantry crane has only one leg, and the other end of the crane is mounted on the crane beam of the plant like the bridge crane. The running track mounted on the plant is commonly known as the sky rail, and the running track on the ground is called the earth rail. The lifting mechanism, trolley running mechanism and bridge structure of semi gantry crane are basically the same as those of bridge crane. Due to the large span, the crane operating mechanism is mostly driven separately to prevent the crane from tilting and increasing resistance, or even accidents. In order to prevent sliding or overturning under the action of strong wind, wind meters and crane rail clamps interlocked with the operating mechanism are installed. Semi gantry cranes are generally electric hoist type, so the rated lifting capacity is usually less than 30 tons.
