      Hot melt marking paint primer is also called primer. It is used for the pre treatment of the road surface before the hot-melt marking line is applied, and it is the adhesive between the hot-melt marking line and the road surface. The organic solvent in the primer can easily wet the road surface. While wetting the road surface, the resin in the primer covers the coated road surface and forms a coating film, which is conducive to the combination of the coating and the formed coating film at high temperature, and enhances the adhesion between the marking line and the road surface. The standard application of primer for hot melt marking paint can avoid the occurrence of coating film peeling and coating film cracking during the construction of hot melt marking line.

       The marking paint manufacturer mentioned that the new asphalt pavement is rich in a large amount of asphalt organic matter, which has arbitrary miscibility with the binder petroleum resin in the paint, and the construction temperature is 180-220°C. It is higher than the melting point of asphalt. During construction, the petroleum resin and asphalt (which have been melted) are mixed with each other to form a whole, and there is no clear interface between the road surface and the marking line, which increases the effect of mutual force.

        The marking paint manufacturer introduced that the primer can be applied with a primer machine (the primer is uniform and full, the width can be adjusted, it is not easy to deviate, saves the amount of primer, and the primer has high efficiency) or roller coating (note that the width of the roller exceeds the marking line) Width, generally 15cm wide scribe width, roller brush 17-20cm is suitable), the roller brush and roller coating should pay attention to the even force, it is not easy to roll the brush too long at one time, refer to the elastic line roller coating. After the primer is dry, scribble (small air bubbles will form if the primer is not dry). Primer oil is not required for new marking on asphalt pavement, and primer oil is required for cement pavement or double-tracking of old lines. 

         this is a specially formulated primer that is fast drying, acrylic resin based to be applied directly to concrete, asphalt and other substrates. Once the primer is applied and dry, thermoplastic solid heat applied traffic paints of any kind - spray, extrude, hydrocarbon or alkyd - can be applied over it. The primer forms a good strong deep penetrating base coat to help the top applied thermoplastic topcoat bond / adhere better to the substrate. It also forms a water barrier to protect and prolong the life of the solid thermoplastic traffic paint that is applied as a top coat.

         Use as primer on side walks, pedestrian crossings, turn arrows and all hard to bond high traffic areas.
