We use a combination of proprietary sifters, aspirators, rare-earth magnets and highly advanced optical scanners to detect and filter unwanted materials from its salt, with most of this machinery fabricated on site. Any of our over 100 varieties of salt can be ordered by the pound, pallet, truckload or ocean container. We keep a six-month supply of salt on hand in our climate-controlled warehouse, ready to be shipped immediately. 

 

Ancient Ocean Himalayan Pink Salt

Carefully sourced from mines located deep within the Himalayan Mountains, Ancient Ocean® Himalayan Pink Bath Salt is known around the world for its beautiful color and varied trace minerals. Formed from the ancient seabed that was crystalized into rich salt veins within the mountains when they formed, our Himalayan pink salt is considered by many to be the purest salt on earth.

 

Using proprietary technology, SaltWorks® ensures the quality & consistency of our Ancient Ocean® products. First, we crush and screen our Himalayan salt to several different precise grain specifications, offering the ideal size for any bath & spa project: face and body scrubs, exfoliating soaps, lotions, manicure and pedicure soaks, bath salts, bath teas and salt potpourri. Following the grain sizing procedures, the salt is run through our exclusively developed Optically Clean® process, which removes naturally-occurring impurities without refining or processing, and ensures the ultimate beauty & safety of this unique, all-natural salt.

Available Grain Sizes:

 

Extra Fine Grain (0.3mm-0.5mm)

Extra Fine grain Ancient Ocean is easily utilized in salt shakers and in soups & sauces for quick dissolution and even flavor distribution. This size also boasts good adhesion on snack foods. Slightly more granular than Powder, this size will offer a visible salt look on tortilla chips and other snack items.

 

Fine Grain (0.2mm-0.8mm)

Ancient Ocean Fine grain is the perfect size for tableside salt shakers, repack, and everyday use in commercial kitchens for baking & cooking. This size is also popular as an ingredient for food manufacturers & processors. This is an extremely versatile grain size for a range of applications.

 

Extra Small Grain (0.5mm-1.5mm)

The Extra Small grain size is best suited for ingredient applications, brining, as well as for topping confections, pretzels and other packaged snack foods. It is an ideal size for including in packaged spice and herb rubs that require a slightly more substantial salt presence.

 

Small Grain (1.0mm-2.0mm)

Small Grain Ancient Ocean salt works well in food service applications for grilling & roasting meats. This is also a popular size for blending into spice & seasoning blends and for topical applications on pretzels & crackers.

 

Medium Grain (1.0mm-3.0mm)

Ideal for most salt grinders or mills, Ancient Ocean in Medium grain is a good choice for repack into clear plastic jars or grinders to display its beautiful color. This size is also a good choice for brines & pickling.

 

Coarse Grain (2.0mm-4.0mm)

A substantial, dense crystal, Coarse grain Ancient Ocean is perfect for large salt mills & grinders. This size also works well for salt roasting in commercial kitchens, as well as for brining applications.

Our professional logistics department manages each shipment as it travels from our facility to your front door. We work with you to take care of all paperwork, including shipping documents and customs forms.

Our in-house processing capabilities include optical color sorting, accurate size screening, de-dusting, magnetic cleaning, low-temperature drying, natural salt smoking and natural salt flavoring.

 

Packaging:

Our packaging capabilities include accurate filling, high-speed labeling, induction sealing, impulse bag sealing, automatic capping, metal detecting, case packing, palletization and more.
