Introduction To Silicon Metal
Silicon Metal, also named crystalline silicon or industrial silicon, is mainly used as an additive for non-ferrous alloys. It is a product made by smelting quartz and coke in an electric furnace. The main element silicon content is about 98%, and the remaining impurities are iron, aluminum, Calcium, etc. Silicon metal is hard and brittle. It is insoluble in acid at room temperature and easily soluble in alkali.

Application
1) Widely used to refractory material and power metallurgy industry to improve the heat resistance, wear resistance and oxidation resistance.
