Individually Wrapped non-Sterile Plaster of Paris Leg Cast Ortho Bandage fiber glass casting tape (bandage)

Orthopedic Casting Tape is made of knitted fibreglass or polyester fabric, impregnated with water activated polyurethane resin. It is used for orthopedic illness or fracture from external wound, to preserve fixation or wounded joint. It is an upgraded product of tranditional plaster bandage.




[Contains]: polyester or fiberglass, polyurethane. Applicable to common plastic surgery. It is used to provide binding for
wound dressing or limbs in order to make a binding up and fixation effect.
[Product Features]Ansen cast has many advantages, such as high strength, light weight, curing rapidly, air-permeability,
x-ray radiolucent, easy operation, comfort and safety, less dust during remove, etc.
[Storage] Stored in a cool dry and ventilated atmosphere. The proper temperature is 15°C- 30°C and the humidity should
be less than RH60%
[Expiry date ] Shelf life is 2 years

how to cast fiberglass
How to make a fiberglass casting tape care instructions


A.Wear surgical gloves, select the roll of proper size. Apply stockinet or protective padding over the affected body part.

B.Open the package, immerse the roll of cast in room temperature water (21°C -24°C) for 4- 6 seconds, and squeeze 2- -3 times to complete penetration of water into the roll, take it out and squeeze water off.

C.Wrap cast spirally, overlapping the previous layer by one-half or two-thirds the width of the roll Keep the proper tension and take care to avoid excessive tightness Excessive looseness will reduce the adhesion between layers, excessive tightness will affect the blood circulation of injured parts

D.Smooth and rub the surface to achieve good contact between layers. Finish the whole operation in 3- 5 minutes. (Overtime will affect the adhesion and molding.Injured parts cannot move before the sufficient cure of cast.)
[Tip]cast trimmed or removed with electric plaster saw equipment.
