Product Introduction

Dioctyl phthalate (Di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate) is a low molecular weight orthophthalate. It is colorless and odorless viscous liquid, soluble in oil but not in water.

• Due to its low cost and generally good performance, it is still the most widely used primary PVC plasticizer.


• Has a broad range of complications which are corresponded to good compatibility with polyvinyl chloride, cellulose nitrate, chlorinated rubber, ethyl cellulose, methyl methacrylate, nitrile, nitrocellulose, polyvinyl butyrate.


• Used mainly for PVC applications in automotive industry, manufacturing of building and construction materials, film and sheeting, cable and flooring, as well as medical devices.


• Also used in the production of coated fabrics, vinyl upholstery, tablecloths, shower curtains, raincoats, footwear, garden hoses, swimming pool liners, polymeric coatings, cable coatings, components of paper and paperboard, defoaming agents and surface lubricants.
