Q1.What is a rotomolded cooler box? how are they made ?
A: Rto-moulded cooler, or a rotationally moulded cooler, is an extremely durable cooler that is made to keep ice for a span of 5
to 7 days. They are mainly used for the outdoors when there is little to no source of electricity in order to keep your food from
spoiling and your beverages chilled. Of course there are other uses for them as well such as fishing, hunting, tailgating, etc.
These coolers can sustain the toughest conditions and abuse due to their design and construction.
The process is quite simple, yet complicated. To keep it simple, roto-moulding is a polyethylene plastic forming process which
uses a mould that is placed on these rotating bi-axial arms. These bi-axial arms go into a high-temperature oven which melts the
plastic evenly and forms a shape inside the mould. Once they are cooled, the plastic that formed is pulled out and taken to the
next step which is the high-pressure polyurethane foam injection. This process gives roto-moulding an advantage over cheap coolers
in that the walls and corners are twice as thick and practically impossible to break.
