PRECAUTIONS
1、Wipe the surface of the caliper, especially measuring surface, before use. Gently push the caliper frame to touch both external measuring surfaces, and check the “0” scribe lines of main caliper body and vernier caliper for coincidence; otherwise, correct the scribe line.
2、When measuring the shape (diameter) or inner hole (diameter), touch (as gentle as possible) the two measuring jaw working surfaces and workpiece surface to be measured (wipe clean), and record the readings on the caliper. To ensure the accuracy of measurement, measure the same part for 2-3 times of workpiece to be measured, count separately, and take the average. In addition, when measuring inner hole depth and step height difference with type II caliper, the measuring base surface shall be coplanar with that of workpiece to be measured.
3、To protect the vernier caliper from displacement, do not intensively crash or vibrate it.
4、When touching the two measuring surfaces of the caliper, if the “0” scribe line of main caliper does not coincide with that of vernier caliper, loose the vernier screw with special tool, adjust the vernier position to align the scribe line and make sure that the coincidence error is no greater than 0.005 mm, and retighten the screw.
5、When move the caliper frame along the caliper body, in case of excessive large, small or uneven moving force, adjustments can be made on the side of caliper frame and retaining pin screw to meet the requirements.
6、To prevent the caliper from damage and inaccurate measurement, do not contact the corrosive and magnetic substances.
7、After using, wipe the caliper and apply rust-preventative oil on its working surface, and put it back in the packaging box.
