Minar MF Series are the unsheathed end glow fiber strands with an attenuation of 0.3dB/M. At 15 meters, the light transmission loss is about 64%. Its minimum bending radius is 10 times of its diameter.

This unsheathed single core fiber strand is also known as the bare fiber tail. Its core material is PMMA (Polymethyl-Methacrylate Resin, Acrylic) with Fluorinated Polymeras as the cladding material. The fiber strand itself does not emit light or contain any color as it just transmits the light from the light engine to the end. The intensity and color of the transmitted light depends on the light engine (also known as the light source, projector, illuminator) and the fiber strands attenuation rate.

The common diameter of single core PMMA fiber is 0.5mm, 0.75mm, 1.0mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm and 3.0mm. For Minar MF series of fiber strands, the longest recommended length is about 15 to 18 meters if it is powered by our 80W fiber optic light engine.
