Diatomite is a kind of siliceous biosedimentary rock or a sort of diatom remains. Its texture is soft and light, which can be ground into powder easily. There are numerous pores on the surface. Up to 80% porosity makes its loose structure and its water absorption is four times of its own weight. Products used diatomite as material that is non-toxic not only has the characteristics of non-combustible, dehumidification, deodorization and good permeability, but also purify air, adsorption and heat insulation and so on.
