Viewing angle
In display technology parlance, viewing angle is the angle at which a display can be viewed with acceptable visual performance. In a technical context, the angular range is called viewing cone defined by a multitude of viewing directions. The viewing angle can be an angular range over which the display view is acceptable, or it can be the angle of generally acceptable viewing, such as a 12 o'clock viewing angle for a display optimized or viewing from the top

Seven Segments

What is a ‘seven’ (7) segment?
There are four numbers in the above LCD (0 8 4 7) all are seven segments. In other words the ‘0’ has seven segments, the ‘8’ has seven segments and so on. Each number has seven independent segments. Each segment can be turned on and off independently to create other numbers and some letters such as E, F C and others. This is an example of a ‘seven’ segment. But there are some letters that a seven segment cannot display such as the letter ‘M’ or ‘V’. In this case a fourteen segment configuration can be
used.

Monochrome lcd

Mono LCD (Monochrome Liquid Crystal Display) refers to the passive matrix, non-emissive display. Non-emissive LCD relies on the light from its backlight unit, and/or the surrounding to be visible. Passive-matrix LCDs used transistors to activate rows and columns, instead of sub-pixels
