Compare with traditional SMD led strip, there are several main advantage for COB led strip:
1) Smooth light(no light dots) and bigger view angle(180 degree)
2)The filip-chip could be die-bond on the FPC directly which makes the strips more flexible and with better heat radiation.
3) For the Filip-chip the electrical connection is surface(not point as normal-chip), it can stand higher current impact. And it can stand higher pushing force(2000g compare to 10g).

You can cut the strips to the length you like according to the cutting mark. And reconnect the strips with the RGBW solderless connector.
