MCP4725 I2C DAC breakout module development board MCP4725
CJMCU-I2C DAC Breakout - MCP4725 Module Development Board
The MCP4725 is a 12-channel buffered voltage output DAC with nonvolatile memory (EEPROM). The user can configure the register bits (2) and DAC input data (12) stored in non-volatile EEPROM (14-bit) memory. By setting the configuration register bits, the DAC can be configured for normal mode or power-down shutdown mode. The device features a two-wire I2C-compatible serial interface from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply.
Description: You have always wanted to output analog voltage from a microcontroller, the MCP4725 is the DAC that allows you to do just that, the CJMCU-MCP4725 is an I2C-controlled digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that allows you to do so! Send an analog signal, such as a sine wave, from a digital source, such as an I2C interface on a microcontroller. D/A converters are great for sound generation, musical instruments, and many other creative projects!
This version of the CJMCU-MCP4725 breakout fixes some issues with the board, including IC footprint, I2C pinout, changing the overall board size to better fit your project, and making some minor adjustments. The board separates each pin you need to access and use the MCP4725, including the GND and Signal OUT pins, to connect to an oscilloscope or any other device you need to connect to the board. Also onboard are SCL, SDA, VCC and another GND for basic I2C pinouts. Additionally, if you wish to install more than one MCP4725 on the bus, you can disable the pull-up resistors on that board, simply check the connection guide in the Documentation section below for instructions and tips on doing this.
