Copper foil is an anionic electrolytic material, deposited in a thin, continuous layer of metal foil on the substrate layer of the circuit board, which acts as the conductor of the PCB. It is easily bonded to the insulating layer, receives the printed protective layer, and forms the circuit pattern after it is corroded.
