Torrente is a canning company founded in the 1960s in southern Italy in a small town in the province of Naples.
This long history begins precisely with a bottle that today is recognizable all over the world for its particular shape and amber color that protects the tomato from sunlight, while preserving its fragrance. In addition to this product, Mr. Torrente Giuseppe and Mrs. Mascolo Annunziata, founders of the current company, also produced San Marzano peeled tomatoes and pomodorino in juice, with the local raw material. As demand increases, La Torrente transforms 600 thousand quintals of tomatoes a year into Peeled , Pureed, Pulps, Cherry Tomatoes and, thanks to the approach to the world of gourmet cuisine, it helps chefs with refined ingredients for the preparation of innovative dishes.
Our range of "Specials" includes products linked to the territory that attributes particular flavors determined by the microclimate of the area, for example the PDO Piennolo Tomato of Vesuvius, PDO Peeled Tomato from Agro Sarnese-Nocerino and The Corbarino.
