Paraffin wax is a kind of petroleum processing products, a kind of mineral wax, and a kind of petroleum wax. It is a flake or acicular crystal obtained by solvent dewaxing, solvent dewaxing, or wax paste made from the lubricating oil fraction obtained by distillation of crude oil, and then by solvent deoiling and refining.
Fully refined paraffin wax and semi-refined paraffin wax are widely used. They are mainly used as components and packaging materials for food, oral drugs and some commodities (such as waxed paper, crayons, candles, carbon paper), as dressings for baking containers, for fruit preservation, electrical component insulation, and to improve the anti-aging property and flexibility of rubber. It can also be used for oxidation to produce synthetic fatty acids.

Storage and transportation should avoid wax contact with dust, water and chemicals to prevent contamination.
