【Origin】Iran
[Harvesting and processing] Flowers are collected in the morning on a sunny day in the flowering period, the stigma is picked, and dried at 40-50 ℃ or in a ventilated place, commonly known as "dried safflower".
【Properties】 Linear, three-branched, about 3 cm long, dark red, the upper part is wider and slightly flatter, the top edge is irregularly toothed, there is a short fissure inside, and a small yellow style is sometimes left at the lower end. Light body, soft, no oily luster, brittle and easy to break after drying. Gas-specific, slightly irritating, slightly bitter taste.
[Quality] Long body, purple-red color, moist and shiny, less yellow style, and spicy and cool taste are better.
