Latin botanical name: Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn
Harvesting and storage: From June to September, when the flowers bloom at the end of the season, they will be harvested, the petioles removed, dried until 70 to 80 percent dry, folded in half into a semicircle, and dried in the sun. In summer, fresh leaves or young leaves (lotus) are also used.
