Product Description
Chemical Name: alpha-Hydroxytoluene; alpha-Toluenol; Benzenecarbinol; Benzenemethanol
This product is a colorless transparent liquid, with a weak aromatic odor, burning smell. After long-term storage, it can beoxidized by oxygen in the air into benzaldehyde and benzoic acid, so there is a bitter almond smell. The boiling point is 205.4 °C, freezing point is -15.3 °C, it can be dissolved in water in a ratio of 1:30, soluble in alcohol, ether and chloroform.
Mainly used in the field of epoxy materials, pharmaceutical synthesis, photographic developers, ink solvents, fragrance fixing agents and plasticizers in textile printing and dyeing auxiliaries.
