Product Description




Maleated rosin, also known as maleic anhydride modified rosin resin, is the resulted product of the addition reaction between rosin and maleic anhydride. It is mainly used as the strengthening sizing agent in the paper industry. Its emulsion has better stability and is less affected by temperature comparing to common rosin, which can solve the difficulty of sizing in summer. It can also reduce cost because the application of setting agent can be also reduced correspondingly during sizing. It can also used in making rosin esters by reacting with polyols, such as maleic rosin glyceride and maleic rosin pentaerythritol, which are important raw materials for paint, ink and adhesive products.
