PET is milky white or light yellow highly crystalline polymer, smooth and shiny surface. Good creep resistance, fatigue resistance, friction resistance and dimensional stability, small wear and high hardness, with the biggest toughness in thermoplastic plastics: good electrical insulation, little temperature influence, but poor corona resistance. Non-toxic, weather resistance, chemical resistance, good stability, low water absorption, resistance to weak acid and organic solvents, but not heat water immersion, alkali resistance.
PET resin glass temperature is higher, crystallization speed is slow, long molding cycle, long molding cycle, forming shrinkage rate, poor dimensional stability, crystallization forming brittle, low heat resistance.
Through the improvement of nucleating agent and crystallization agent and glass fiber reinforcement, PET has the following characteristics in addition to the properties of PBT.

3. Bending strength 200MPa, elastic modulus 4000MPa, creep resistance and fatigue resistance is also very good, high surface hardness, mechanical properties and thermosetting plastics similar.
4. Since the price of ethylene glycol used in the production of PET is almost half that of butanediol used in the production of PBT, PET resin and reinforced PET are the cheapest engineering plastics and have a high cost performance ratio.
