Permalloy
Permalloy refers to iron-nickel alloy with a wide range of nickel content ranging from 35% to 90%. Permalloy is characterized by high permeability in weak magnetic field. Their saturation magnetic induction intensity is generally between 0.6 and 1.0T.
The alloy is melted in a vacuum induction furnace, and then made into cold rolled strip, cold drawn wire or hot rolled (forged) plate and bar after hot and cold plastic deformation.
It is used for making audio transformer, mutual inductor, magnetic amplifier, magnetic modulator, choke, audio head, etc.
