Description
Ordinary refractory bricks are made from natural refractory clay mixed with sand and crushed clay. It contains 50% to 75% silica and 20% to 40% alumina and less than 10% flux. It can be used as a good quality acid-resistant furnace lining. It can withstand temperatures up to 1600℃.

Usage
Made of refractory ceramic material, these bricks are used to line furnaces, kilns, fireboxes, incinerators, and heaters. They are designed to withstand high heat. This is because they are fired to a very high temperature in massive industrial furnaces.
However, they are also made to have a low thermal conductivity to save energy. Dense refractory bricks are used in applications with extreme mechanical, chemical, or thermal stresses.
