A515 refers to the medium and high temperature pressure vessel steel plate is divided into three grades according to the strength grade :60, 65, 70(1KSI is about 7MPa), and the material closest to A515GR70 is 16MnR(the current brand is Q345R)
1. from the point of view of the standard, the national standard GB713-2008 is stricter than SA 515, gb 16MnR(Q345R) has impact and bending requirements on steel plates, and these are generally not mandatory requirements in ASME standards.
2.In terms of chemical composition, 16MnR(Q345R) has stricter content of impurity P S than A 515,A The upper limit of C content in 515 can reach 0.35%, which is very high, and the requirements for C content are different with the thickness of steel plate, which is very different from 16MnR(Q345R).
3. In the supply state,A 515 in the plate thickness is greater than 50mm steel plate must be normalized, and 16MnR(Q345R) in GB150 provisions as a cylinder 36mm above must be normalized state
4. in the ultra prospecting gb150-2011 provisions of the thickness of 30~36mm, shall not be lower than grade,36 above shall not be lower than In SA-516, the superprobe level is divided into A, B and C levels.
