Product Introduction
Silicone net is a thin, transparent wound contact dressing made from polyurethane film and silicone gel with open perforated structure. It conforms to the shape of the wound and can be used in combination with an outer absorbent dressing.
The open perforated structure allows exudate to pass vertically into the outer absorbent dressing and enables easy delivery of topical treatments .
Silicone net adheres gently to dry intact skin but not to the moist wound bed. This makes the dressing changes as pain free as possible. The product seals around the wound margins to reduce risk of maceration and to make sure that the skin around the wound stays dry and healthy. Due to the non-sticky top surface and adequate adhesion to skin, it is also possible to use the product as a stand-alone product for protection of damaged skin.
Product Indications
Silicone net is a versatile wound contact dressing that can be used on many exuding wounds when used with an outer absorbent dressing. Typical exuding wounds are:
1.Painful wounds
2. Skin tears
3. Skin abrasions, blistering, lacerations, and traumatic wounds
4. Surgical wounds
5. Partial thickness burns
6. Partial and full thickness grafts
7. Radiated skin
8. Leg and foot ulcers
It can also be used as protective layer on non-exuding wounds and on areas with fragile skin.
