Technical difficulties of MDF powder coating:
MDF wood-based panels are made by mixing wood fibers and adhesives and then pressing them under steam heating and pressure. There are many voids in the material, which is very hygroscopic, and the adhesive contains a certain amount of small molecule volatiles. Therefore, it is very different from the powder electrostatic coating of metal parts. To realize the electrostatic coating of MDF powder, three technical difficulties must be solved first:
The MDF board has poor conductivity, and it needs to solve its uniform adsorption capacity for charged powder.
MDF boards are not resistant to high temperatures. To solve the problem that the substrate is not damaged, ensure that the surface powder coating is melted, leveled and fully solidified.
The shorter the residence time of the MDF wood board in the high temperature zone of the curing tunnel, the better, and the corresponding fast curing powder must be developed.
