Cococciola is a fairly productive vine, it has rather compact clusters of a conical-cylindrical shape, with round and large berries, covered by a yellow, thick and pruinose skin. It has no particular climate or soil composition requirements and has good pedoclimatic adaptability. It is traditionally raised with the Abruzzo pergola system and reaches perfect maturity at the beginning of October. The choice of the moment of the harvest is essential to preserve a good level of acidity and to avoid that a slight over-ripening can lead to the breaking of the skin of the berries, causing dangerous oxidation of the fruit.
