How to use masking film
Masking film is a clear plastic film used to protect surfaces when painting, staining, or doing any other type of finish work. It is designed to be easily applied and removed with minimal effort.
1. Clean the surface you are masking. Make sure it is free of dirt, dust, and other debris.
2. Measure out the size of the area you need to mask. Cut the masking film to the appropriate size.
3. Apply the masking film to the surface you are masking. Start at one end of the area and slowly apply pressure, smoothing out any air bubbles as you go.
4. Secure the edges of the masking film with painter’s tape. Make sure the tape is firmly applied so the film does not move during the painting process.
5. Begin painting the area. The masking film will protect the surrounding surfaces from any paint or stain.
6. Once the painting is finished, remove the masking film and painter’s tape carefully. Discard the used masking film and tape.
