Curved tempered laminated glass is comprises of two or more sheets of glass bonded together with one or more durable interlayers of plastic film, such as PVB (polyvinyl butyral). Laminated glasses with different levels of safety and security can be obtained by varying the number and/or thickness of each of the components. A laminated glass unit provides a significantly increased security for the user compared to conventional single-pane (safety) glass. If the glass breaks, the fragments are usually held in place by the interlayer(s), preventing the user from falling or from being injured by the shards.
