The Small Package Desiccant 1-10g Silica Packet is a kind of highly active adsorption material. It has the characteristics of high adsorption performance, good thermal stability, stable chemical properties and high mechanical strength.Silica gel is a high absorbent with a purity of 99.6%. Exposing in the air (RH 80%-90%, 25°C) 7 hours, it can absorb 35-39% water.
Widely used in shoes and hats, handbags, food, medicine, toys, wood products, instruments, meters, electronics, computers and other items packaging. The static adsorption of the sealed space removes moisture, controls the relative humidity, and has the effect of preventing moisture and mildew.

Q1 : How are desiccants best used?
A: To be used most effectively, desiccants should be used within a closed/sealed moisture barrier or a rigid/sealed container. Humidity indicating cards are generally placed inside the container to show the humidity level and indicate when the desiccant needs to be replaced.
Q2:How long will it last , how often shall we replace them?
A: It depends on The warehouse Humidity and temperature and others.But, if add 5% orange SILICA GEL in it, it will be easy to see when The SILICA GEL start absorb moisture.Color change from orange to dark green.Usually, 1 to 2 weeks fully absorb
Q3: How much water vapor can the beads absorb? In say, grams per gram? How quickly do they do so?
A: The moisture absorption rate of silica gel desiccant is about 32% of its weight, 1g of silica gel absorbs 0.32g of water.
Regarding how quickly do they do so, generally, the adsorption capacity of bare materials is measured at 24h in our factory.
