Smart Film is available in 2 installation types: Self Adhesive and Non-Adhesive. Self Adhesive products are easily installed utilizing a peel-n-stick Smart Cling self-adhesive backing. Smart Film Non-Adhesive is a mechanical install technique using a 3M double-sided clear tape (included with your purchase).
We use a 188-micron dimming film, which is more durable and more breakdown resistant than ordinary ones.
Care and maintenance
Be sure to turn off the film power when cleaning, and do not turn on the power until 100% dry. Be careful not to interfere with any electrical connections.
The best cleaner is a simple solution of water and a small amount of traceless washing soap. Clean the Windows and dry them with absorbent strips. You can also clean the surface of the film using any regular strength glass cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free yellow microfiber cloth.

Our polyethylene finish is durable, but if you can avoid using rough paper towels, it will prevent light scratches and fogging over time. Products containing ammonia will not damage the film if used properly. Do not use any abrasive cleaners, industrial strength glass cleaners, and/or any other window cleaning tools that may scratch the window film. Keep in mind that the surface of the film is scratch-resistant, not scratch-resistant.
