The working principle of bi metal thermometer is to use two different temperature expansion coefficient of metal, in order to improve the sensitivity of temperature measurement, usually made of metal sheet spiral shape, when the temperature of the multi-layer metal sheet changes, the metal expansion or contraction of each layer is not equal, making the spiral roll up or loose.
