1.Can I substitute heavy-duty aluminum foil with the regular type?
No. Heavy-duty aluminum foil can handle almost all uses of the regular version, but there’s no vice versa. However, if you just need more strength, you can simply fold the regular aluminum foil in half and it’ll be a lot stronger, even comparable to the heavy-duty.
2.Can I use the microwave to reheat foil-wrapped foods?
No. Though many recipes may require aluminum foil in the microwave for the convenience of these utensils. It’s best to avoid combining them to prevent the burning or even explosion possibility.
3.Should I use the matt or shiny side of aluminum foil?
The sides of aluminum foil are different due to the manufacturing process, not the coating so that the heat conductivity of both sides is the same. However, to prevent stickiness, consider using the shiny side of aluminum foil.
4.Can aluminum foil burn?
Yes. However, the burning or melting temperature of aluminum is significantly high, over 1200oF. Therefore, you can barely burn aluminum foil in your kitchen unless you use it in a microwave.
