The MIT1025 insulation resistance tester from Megger includes numerous special and unique features as well as powerful standard specifications, making the unit well-suited to diagnostic testing work in high voltage applications at a professional level. The MIT1025 is a 10 kV unit with available output voltages of 500 V, 1000 V, 2500 V, 5000 V, and 10000 V. The unit also features a user-defined lock voltage function, meaning any selectable test voltage may be locked and restored via the selector switch.
The MIT1025 is capable of performing resistance measurements from 10 kΩ up to 20 TΩ. Accuracy is ±5% from 1MΩ to 2 TΩ when testing at 10 kV. The MIT1025 also features up to 6mA noise immunity as well as 3mA short circuit current. The unit also includes a built-in dedicated voltmeter with an operating range of 30 V to 660 V.

MIT1025 Features & Specifications
The MIT1025 is safety rated to CATIV 600 V up to 3000 m in altitude. Each unit in the MIT series also meets requirements for the IEC61326-1 standard for electromagnetic compatibility. The MIT1025 unit itself features a tough outer case which has received an IP65 rating. This means the unit is safe from all dust ingress as well as low pressure water spray. When the outer case is open during testing, the unit’s rating becomes IP40.
A major new feature of the MIT1025 is the unit’s lithium-ion fast recharge battery pack. Megger included this powerful battery with the MIT1025 and other MIT series units to improve productivity and reduce waiting time. The Li-ion battery meets IEC 62133:2003 and can fully recharge from dead in less than 2.5 hours. A full charge will provide up to 4.5 hours of testing. In the event the battery dies and you still have testing to complete, Megger has provided two options to minimize wait time. You can charge the battery for 30 minutes, providing 60 minutes of operating time. In addition, you can simply plug the MIT1025 into a mains outlet and run the unit using AC power.
The MIT1025 also includes advanced memory storage. This internal storage provides time and date stamping for results and allows users to recall any stored data to the unit’s LCD screen for review. The MIT1025 is capable of storing 5.5 hours of data with logging at 5 second intervals. When logging is complete, data can be easily transferred to a PC via an isolated USB interface. The MIT1025 comes with the free version of Megger’s data analysis software, PowerDB LITE, which can be used to analyze and organize data after transfer.
