What is Talc powder
Talcum Powder is a unique natural mineral produce through verification & fine grinding. This product may be used in Paints, Cosmetic, Paper, Pharmaceuticals, Fertilizers etc.
Talc lubricity, fire resistance, acid resistance, insulation, high melting point, chemical inertness, good covering power and
soft, good gloss, strong adsorption capacity, excellent physical and chemical properties, the crystal structure of talc is a
layer, so it is easy to split into flake trend and special lubrication and if the Fe2O3 content is very high will reduce its
insulation.
The main component of talc is hydrotalcite containing magnesium silicate, and the formula is Mg3 [Si4O10] (OH) 2. Talc belongs to monoclinic system. The crystal is false, six sides or diamond flakes, occasionally. Usually dense clumps of leaves, rays, and fibrous aggregates. Colorless or white, but with a small amount of impurities and has light green, light yellow, light brown or pale red; the cleavage plane is Pearl luster. Hardness 1, specific gravity 2.7 ~ 2.8.
