How it works

GS6.5B uses Bioelectric Impedance Analysis (BIA). BIA sends a small electrical current through your body to determine your body composition. Body composition is based on how much resistance the current encounters, this is known as the impedence. Inside the body, water is the best conductor and offers the least resistance to the current. Since muscle has a higher water volume than fat, the scale can accurately read the amount in your body based on the current's impedance. For the most accurate results our patient's are encouraged to be well hydrated before coming for weigh-ins.

 

What does it measure

After your body composition analysis, you will be handed a print out with your results. There are fivesections on the print out Input, Results, Desirable Range, Indicator, and Physique Rating. It is important to understand the information in each section while you track your progress.
