INSTALLATION
Choosing the installation place
When analytical balances are used under routine test lab or industrial measuring room, the weighing speed will be much quicker and the result more accurate. The conditions of installation place of the balance should be as below:
1. The working room should be clean and dry.
2. The balance should be placed on a solid, stable, horizontal and plain flat surface.
3. Avoid locations in which the balance can be exposed to any of the following situations:
a) Airflows coming from air conditioners, fans, doors or windows.
b) Vibration from surrounding or nearby equipments
c) Direct sunlight and radiation
d) Electromagnetic waves or fields
4. Do not use the balance anywhere exposed to explosive, combustible or corrosive gases.
5. Don’t use the balance under the condition of high humidity or high dust.
6. When moved from a colder to a warmer place, the accuracy and reliability of the scale will be influenced by the moisture condensation inside the balance. In order to eliminate this influence, it is better to put the scale in the working place without power supply for 2 hours.
7. Avoid extreme temperatures or exposure to direct sunlight or air conditioners. The ideal working temperature is 17.5ºC-22.5ºC with a fluctuation temperature not higher than 1ºC/h.
8. Keep the balance clean.
9. Do not stack material on the balance scale when not in use.
10. Use the correct power supply and voltage with the balance; the balance is supplied with a power adapter 110-220V/50-60Hz.
Unpacking and preliminary inspection
Check that all of the items indicated below are included in the package, and that nothing has been damaged:
- Balance
- Pan
- Power cable (AC adapter)
- Instruction manual
- External calibration weight
In case the balance or any component presents any damage due to transport tell it immediately to your transport agent or dealer so that they can make the claims in the correct time limit.
USE OF THE BALANCE
Level adjustment
Once the balance is placed on its location, check the bubble level; if bubble is not well centered, turn the adjustable feet so as the bubble moves to the center and the balance is perfectly leveled.
Start
1. Connect the balance to the power supply and press ON key on the panel.
2. When the balance turns on, a countdown of 30 min will be displayed showing the necessary pre-warming time for a better performance and stable state of the balance.
3. Once pre-warming time has passed it is recommended to calibrate the balance. In internal calibration models once pre-warming time has passed, the balance will automatically make calibration.
4. After calibration, the balance will enter weighing mode.
5. To turn the balance off, press OFF key on the panel and display will light off. If the balance will not be used for a long time, disconnect it from the power supply.
Calibration
Internal calibration models
1. Press CAL key
2. Calibration using the internal weight will be made automatically.
If tolerance (error) after internal calibration is too high, then it is necessary to make external calibration. For this, proceed as follows:
1. Press simultaneously CAL and ON keys until F” appears at the upper side of display; after releasing the keys CAL-200 (value of the necessary weight to make external calibration) will be displayed.
2. Put the calibration weight on the pan and wait until its weight is displayed (e.g. 200.0000g).
3. Remove the weight and the balance will enter weighing mode.
Note: Each time the external calibration is made it is necessary to make internal calibration first.
