Principle of Automatic Surface Tension Meter:

The working principle of this instrument is to apply the high-frequency induction micro-displacement automatic balance measurement system to the torque balance, when the force acting on the platinum ring changes, the balance rod connected to the platinum ring is in the two eddy current probes. Displacement is generated, so that the inductance generated in the two eddy current probes changes: this causes the differential transformer to lose balance, and the input signal of the differential amplifier in the circuit also loses balance. The electrical signal changes and changes, and the signal is sent to the microprocessor for processing and automatically calculates the actual tension of the tested ocean according to ASTM D971

 

Installation and Leveling of Automatic Surface Tension Meter:

Put the host on a stable platform without wind flow and unscrew the two fixing screws on the back side of the instrument, remove the upper top plate, and install the control magnet, ring frame rod, platinum ring (platinum ring and ring frame rod insertion and installation is completed, put the outer flame of the alcohol lamp burns clean, before installation. (Note: the hand can not touch the burn clean platinum ring). Adjust the three feet so that the sample plate on the water push bubble in the centre, after the top plate back to the original place, and fixed with screws.

 

Cleaning of Automatic Surface Tension Meter:

Clean the sample cup with petroleum ether, followed by acetone and water respectively, and then soak it in hot chromic acid wash to remove oil, and then rinse it with water and distilled water, if the sample is not to be used immediately, it should be inverted on a piece of clean cloth, and the platinum ring should be cleaned with petroleum ether, and then rinsed with ketone, and then heated in the oxidizing flame of an alcohol lamp. Note: The platinum ring should be cleaned by removing it from the ring holder rod, and the power supply of the instrument must be switched off when the platinum ring is removed and installed, and after installing the platinum ring, the platinum ring should be made to be on the same plane in each part.
