Direct zinc oxide, white hexagonal crystal or powder. Odorless, non-toxic, and delicate in texture. Relative density 5.606. Refractive index 2.008-2.029. Melting point 1975 ℃.Soluble in acid, sodium hydroxide, ammonium chloride, insoluble in water, ethanol and ammonia. It belongs to the category of amphoteric oxides. Absorb carbon dioxide and water in the air to form Zinc carbonate, which is yellow. Turns yellow when heated, returns to white after cooling. It does not penetrate ultraviolet light and remains black when exposed to hydrogen sulfide.

Application
1. Used as a vulcanizing activator, reinforcing agent, and colorant for natural rubber, synthetic rubber, and latex in the rubber or cable industry to provide rubber with good corrosion resistance, tear resistance, and elasticity. Colorant and filler of white rubber, used as vulcanizing agent in Neoprene, with the particle size of 0.1 μ It can be used as a light stabilizer for plastics such as polyolefins or polyvinyl chloride.
2. Organic synthesis catalysts and desulfurizers are used in the fertilizer industry for fine desulfurization of raw gas, for desulfurization of synthetic ammonia, petroleum, natural gas chemical raw gas, and for deep desulfurization and purification of industrial raw gas and oil such as methanol and hydrogen production.
