They are both electrically nonconductive and ferrimagnetic, meaning they can be magnetized or attracted to a magnet. Ferrites canbe divided into two families based on their magnetic coercivity, theirresistance to being demagnetized.

Every magnet has a north seeking and a south seeking face on opposite ends. The north face of one magnet will always be attracted
towards the south face of another magnet.
