After 10 years development, the clinic result strongly suggests that the picoseconds laser is more effect than Q-switched Nd:YAG laser with its pure photoacoustic effec which shatters inks and pigmentations only leaving the surrounding tissues unharmed. A2: The laser pulse duration less than 1 ns called picoseonds laser, and the pulse duration less than 500 ps named ultra-picoseconds. The pulse duration of Q switched Nd:YAG is around 5-20 ns, so it is not a picoseconds laser. There are 3 ways to help you distinguish the picoseconds laser from Q-switched Nd:YAG laser.
