Silicon carbon alloy is a by-product of the production of silicon metal or the product of converter smelting.  It is a new material discovered in the metallurgical industry in recent years, and the metallurgical silicon carbide action is the same.  Because most steel products need to add ferrosilicon and carburizer, the emergence of high carbon silicon can meet the production needs. The silicon content of high carbon silicon is close to that of ferrosilicon, which can use to achieve the effect of deoxidation and desulfurization. At the same time, the carbon content of high carbon silicon can ensure the furnace temperature, convenient to adjust the temperature, and reduce the power consumption.  The amount of high carbon silicon needs to be adjusted according to the product and furnace temperature management system. What's more, the price of high-carbon silicon is only 30% of ferrosilicon.
