Product Description




The basic function of this device is USB to 4-channel 3KV isolation/6KV lightning protection RS485. The device is powered by a USB port, eliminating the need for an external power source. It incorporates a unique zero-delay automatic transmit-receive conversion technology, making it plug-and-play compatible with all software. It features transmit-receive enable control and enters a high-impedance state when in idle mode without data transmission. It supports multi-point communication.

Distinguishing itself from other similar low-cost products available in the market, this product offers the following:

Features


● The device features a full-speed USB device interface that is compatible with USB v2.0.

● It simulates a standard serial port, allowing for the upgrade of existing peripheral devices or the addition of additional serial ports via USB.

● The device is fully compatible with serial port applications on Windows operating systems, requiring no modifications.

● Its hardware includes fully integrated transmit-receive buffers. Each serial port is equipped with a 10Mbps high-speed isolation chip, supporting communication baud rates ranging from 1200bps to 2Mbps.

● The 4-port RS485 serial ports and USB interface have 3KV isolation. When exposed to long-term high voltage of AC220V or AC380V, the RS485 interface alone is affected, while the USB port and connected devices remain unaffected.

● It is compatible with operating systems such as Win98/2K/XP and WIN10/WIN11 32/64-bit systems.

● For communication, the device utilizes shielded twisted pairs with a minimum cross-sectional area of 0.5mm copper wire. It can achieve a maximum communication distance of 3000 meters (4800bps), 2000 meters (9600bps), and 1000 meters (115.2Kbps).

● The minimum number of networked sites supported is 128, while the maximum number of networked sites depends on the RS485 input impedance of each site.

● The device has 5 LED indicators, including a power indicator and dual-color indicators for data transmission and reception on the 4 serial ports, allowing for easy status monitoring.

● It features a Type B USB port and operates on USB power, with a working current of less than 30mA. The USB interface is protected against electrostatic discharge, capable of ±15kV (air) and ±8kV (contact), and it also provides EFT protection of up to 40A (5/50ns) and lightning protection of up to 5A (8/20us).

● The RS485 interface is equipped with three-level lightning protection, meeting the GB/T17626.5 (IEC61000-4-5) standard. It can withstand a short-circuit current wave of 10/700μs and an open-circuit peak output voltage of 6KV, with an internal resistance of 40Ω.

● Working from -40°C to +85°C.

● It has passed the 100% burn-in test.
