Sodium monofluorophosphate (referred to as "MFP") is a white powdery solid with a melting point of about 626°C, easily soluble in water, and strong hygroscopicity. The solubility in water at 25°C is 42%.
Sodium monofluorophosphate is widely used, mainly used in toothpaste additives, concrete corrosion inhibitors, food, medical treatment and so on. Instead of sodium fluoride, it is used as an anti-caries agent, tooth desensitizer in toothpaste formulations, also used to clean metal surfaces and used as a flux, and can also be used to make special glass
