The 618 series marine diesel engine is developed based on the 615 series diesel engine, with bigger stroke and higher power. It inherits the excellent features of the 615 series diesel engine, including large power reserve, low fuel consumption, low emission, high reliability, simple operation and easy maintenance.

• Safe and reliable: It uses a frame-type main bearing structure, and boasts high stiffness of the engine block, and low vibration and noise; it is cooled by internal and external circulating water cooling means, of which the internal circulating water part uses fresh water to cool the diesel engine, and the external circulating water part uses seawater to cool the fresh water through the seawater/fresh water heat exchanger, so as to extend the service life of the diesel engine. And, the engine can be equipped with an optional water jacket exhaust pipe to reduce the temperature in the engine compartment.
