What is Friction Welding?
Friction welding is solid-state joining technique that welds workpieces by generating heat through mechanical friction.using the heat developed between surfaces through a combination of mechanically induced rubbing motion and applied load. By "Joinforces"
Friction welding machine, The resulting joint is of forged quality. Under normal conditions, the faying surfaces do not melt.
Filler metal, flux and shielding gas are not required with this process.






Advandages




1. Easily joins dissimilar metals. This means the ability to use more expensive corrosion resisting materials where needed, and
less resistant but sufficiently strong materials where there is no need- on the same part.
2.The welding process consumes its own base material to achieve metallurgical bonding, resulting in friction welding joints with
forging-quality strength.
3.The full surface of the cross section is made up of both metals, airtight and absent of voids.Friction welds often cost less as
there are no consumables like filler metals fluxes.
