A: All belong to polyethylene,but the molecular weight is different. High-density polyethylene is polyethylene with a molecular weight of 1.5 million or less,and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene is polyethylene with a molecular weight of 1.5 million or more.
Q5 How to detect UHMWPE?
A:Specific gravity method: The specific gravity of pure ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMW PE)products is between 0.93-0.95, which is lighter than water and can float on water. The specific gravity of UHMW PE(UHMW PE)products filled with other materials will change. Temperature method: The real pure ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene product will not melt or deform at 200 degrees Celsius, but will become soft. UHMWPE products filled with other materials will deform at 200 degrees Celsius.
