High Alumina Refractory Ball




Refractory materials with an Al2O3 mass fraction greater than 45% and based on alumina or aluminosilicate are called high-aluminum refractory materials. High-aluminum refractory products have different mineral compositions due to different Al2O3 contents. As the Al2O3 content increases, the mullite and corundum crystal phases in the product increase, while the glass phase decreases correspondingly, and the refractoriness increases accordingly. Generally, the refractory degree of high-aluminum refractory balls is not less than 1750~1790℃, and the temperature at which the ball begins to soften under load is not less than 1400~1530℃.

High Aluminum Balls
High-aluminum balls are produced from high-temperature alumina powder and can be subdivided into four series: 90, 92, 95 and 99.

High aluminum balls are available in two types: inert and active. Active high-aluminum balls can be used to absorb impurities and purify products. Inert high alumina balls can be used for grinding or as chemical fillers.


High Alumina Ceramic Balls
High alumina ceramic balls are mainly used in ceramic factories. The data shows that using natural ball stones and grinding balls with a content of 10% can shorten the ball milling time by about 15%. Using medium aluminum balls and 30% high alumina ceramic ball grinding balls can shorten the ball milling time compared with grinding with only medium aluminum balls. About 15%. Refractory balls Alumina ceramic balls are used in high and low temperature reformers, reformers, hydrogenation, desulfurization tanks and methanation furnaces in fertilizer plants to disperse liquids and support, cover and protect catalysts. They can also be used in ironmaking , heating furnaces for iron making, etc. In the steel industry and transformation equipment, ordinary refractory balls are suitable for converters and transformation furnaces in the sulfuric acid and fertilizer industries, while high-aluminum refractory balls are suitable for equipment in the steel, urea, hot blast furnaces, heating and transformation furnaces and other industries.

By applying these refractory materials to preheat gas (blast furnace) and air, the flue gas volume of the regenerative heating furnace can be reduced to 20-50%, the flue gas temperature can be reduced to below 150 degrees, and the output can be increased by 15- 20%, heating time is reduced by 50%, oxidation and burning loss are reduced, and environmental protection and energy saving are 30-50%.






High Aluminum Refractory Ball Process Notes
1. The technical department conducts sample trial burning of the raw materials of the refractory balls, tests the physical and chemical indicators of the products after the trial burning, processes the raw materials that meet the requirements into 0-3 particle size and 180 mesh powder, and passes them through a 16000 high magnetic iron remover. Remove iron and enter the silo for use.

2. The mold workshop makes molds according to the mold production drawings and scaling ratios issued by the technical department. The dimensions of the semi-finished products must be checked and heated after confirmation.

3. In the molding workshop, the particle size and fineness of the raw materials are randomly inspected using a sample sieve. After passing the test, the raw materials are proportioned through the electronic batching truck and then entered into the mixer for mixing. The raw materials are locked out of the pot in 10-15 minutes, 2-4 After forming, it is installed in the kiln.

4. In the firing workshop, the semi-finished refractory balls entering the kiln must be inspected for size burrs and brown eyes. Only after the inspection is correct can the kiln be installed and the sintering temperature adjusted.

5. The finished refractory balls will be inspected for size and appearance, a self-inspection test report will be issued, and the physical and chemical indicators will be verified before shipment.
