How Is Polyester Insulation Made?

Polyester Insulation involves melting the raw materials which includes recycled pvc bottles then spun rapidly and extruded out of small holes to form fibers. These fibers are bound together and shaped into batts.

Polyester sound insulation batts, are made from a blend of polyester fibers bonded with a low melt fibre to produce a 100% polyester insulation batts.

The strong, lightweight, fibers are soft to handle, making for easy installation in walls, ceilings and between floors of timber framed construction.

They have the added benefit of being a sound absorber and so contribute to both the thermal and acoustic comfort of building occupants
